Weve been hearing a lot about the OnePlus 5.
While we recently heard the rumours of OnePlus 5 being launched soon, the Chinese company seems to have finally chose to reveal a bit of information officially.
Moreover, the publication also claims that the smartphone creator has also confirmed the release of OnePlus 5. This led to speculations that the upcoming smartphone will indeed skip the OnePlus 4 name and will use the OnePlus 5 as the model name. No, according to TR, OnePlus named the handset after its favourite basketball player, a chap named Robert Horry who played in the number five jersey.
Stating that the phone was not labelled OnePlus 4, because the number four is considered unlucky in China, The Verge reported that not much was known about the phone itself.
Along with that, OnePlus has also teased the launch date with its tagline that reads 'Hey Summer! The device will run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with Hydrogen OS on the top. There could also be possibility for two variants, with the other being of 8GB RAM. The listing seems to reflect that since it indicates that a dual-lens rear camera may be able to provide up to 23 megapixels, while the one up front could yield 16 megapixels. The phone would have even better Dash Charge features, the source says it will be 25 percent faster. On the front, the smartphone is said to feature an 8MP front-facing shooter.
The smartphone is expected to be released in May or June this year.
It is likely to feature a dual camera setup.
In any event, both companies claim that the OnePlus 5 will pack a Snapdragon 835 processor, a ridiculous 8GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a 5.5-inch 1440p display. And taking the cue from the leaked information of the OnePlus 5, it is going to be before the end of the month of June that we will come across the smartphone.
