The protest, which takes place on daily basis at the Unity Fountain in Abuja is convened by Deji Adeyanju and led by popular entertainer, Charles Oputa also known as Charly Boy.
"In as much as we all want our President back to his duties, the Constitution never stipulated how long a serving President of Nigeria can be away on medical holiday".
They added that President Buhari had fulfilled the constitutional requirements by transmitting a letter to the National Assembly about his condition as well as transferring power to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, now the country's Acting President.
The Senate yesterday condemned the brutality meted out to the protesters by the police, saying the security agents should not violate the rights of the people they were employed to protect.
A report also has it that the musician collapsed after inhalling the tear gas shot at him and other protesters.
"The police should review their rules of engagement and ensure that they are in line with that of modern democratic societies".
Barely one hour after a group tagged Coalition for Good Governance Initiative and Change marched along Shehu Shagari Way, Abuja, in support of President Muhammadu Buhari, another group has taken to the streets rooting for the present administration.
Meanwhile, the Arewa Youth Forum (AYF) has accused northern governors and South West politicians of being responsible for the protest against Buhari.
The Arewa youths advised the governors and South West politicians to call those they described as "attack dogs" engaged in the protest to retrace their steps or face being exposed in their secret political deals.
