Let me tell you that RCom, led by Anil Ambani, is struggling because of the tough challenge he gets from other domestic companies.
Reliance Communications (RCom) announced an all-new Rs 299 rental plan for its users on Wednesday. The company also unveiled new prepaid and postpaid data plans starting at Rs 349 and Rs 399 respectively. The company had kept the price of the Wi-pod dongle at Rs 3,200, whose validity is 365 days. Anil Ambani's Reliance Communications shares and Bond saw a decline in May this year, and indirectly it was attributed to Mukesh Ambani's "Free Services" being given by Reliance Jio. This pack offers 84Gb data for 84 Days, Unlimited calls and messages.
Reliance Communications seems to be riding on the adverse effects created by Jio's disruptive offers with free calls and data as the company recently reported a loss of Rs. 948 crore for the Q4 2017.
The company has also introduced a new Rozana offer with 1GB data per day and 30 minutes of calls per day to any network at Rs. 193. Here's comparing the plan with similar plans from Reliance Jio, Vodafone, Idea and Aircel. Power users who want more data bandwidth can opt for the Rs. 786 plan that offers 1GB data per day for 180 days.
Some are seeing RCom's offer as a counter to Reliance Jio's Dhan Dhana Dhan offer, which offers 1 GB of free 4G data per day and unlimited calls and SMS for 56 days for Rs 309.
The plan's cost also goes down in the second recharge when users have to pay Rs 352 instead of the first-time recharge value of Rs 445.
