The debt pricing came amid a more than 1 percent drop this week in the iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (HYG), which held gains of less than 1 percent for the year Friday, as geopolitical risks soured the appetite for risky assets. Of course, for the equity market, the company remains a firm favourite.
Tesla shares are up 67 percent this year, pushing the company's market value to about $60 billion, above that of top USA automakers General Motors Co and Ford Motor Co, even though Tesla has yet to make an annual profit.
The 31-year-old actress and Musk recently broke up, and they have now spoken out together to comment on their situation, admitting having a long-distance romance has been "tough" for them both.
However, Musk conceded that the biography overall was not entirely flawed, calling it "mostly correct", but saying that the story was "rife with errors and never independently fact-checked" despite his request for that.
Priced at $35,000 per unit, the Model 3 has bagged 455,000 orders since its launch, a downward revision from the 518,000 units Musk initially proclaimed. Tesla smashed all of those targets. Tesla's Fremont, California, factory was previously New United Motor Manufacturing Incorporated (NUMMI), a joint venture between General Motors and Toyota.
Moody's Investors Service projects that Tesla will produce 300,000 of the vehicles next year.

It may look too far from reaching the target but it could still be possible once Model 3 enters full-scale production before the end of this year.
Ultimately, the depth of investor interest will determine the bond's interest rate.
