"Thanks for all your feedback, we made some improvements and are now ready to roll out this new sharing feature to all users globally", said Benoît de Boursetty, Product Manager, YouTube. The new YouTube feature will remove a few steps in that process, giving you more time to enjoy sharing videos.
YouTube explains that you can invite friends to join a conversation you're having on YouTube, and to hold general chats within the app.
The new Shared tab in the YouTube app will show you past videos you have shared and were shared with you, alongside any conversations you have around them. The Share panel now features a carousel up top of your YouTube contacts for immediate sending. In addition to that replying using videos as well as inviting other friends to the conversation is also possible. Currently, anyone can request to add you on their list of contacts, though you obviously don't have to accept every request. You can also share them as per your convenience.
Spotted an interesting video on YouTube and want to share it with friends? Moreover, YouTube introduced the feature too late.
Has this rolled out to your mobile app yet?
So instead of copy and past a video's link and send it to friends via an email or WhatsApp, users can share and privately chat about the video from within YouTube. If you've ever used Facebook Messenger or any number of similar apps, you'll be able to jump straight into YouTube's offering without trouble.
If you think your video is suitable for all advertisers and audiences, and after reviewing the advertiser guidelines, you can appeal or get help by following the instructions in YouTube's help center. This will essentially make it a lot easier to see which videos you and friends have shared recently and watch it.
Whereas Googles believes that the current updated version of YouTube will be more convenient for sharing the experience with contacts. The introduction of the new feature will not make a difference in sharing of links to other apps.
