The new update doesn't solve all of the design problems with iTunes, which is still used for videos, audiobooks and podcasts, but it puts some of the focus back on its original objective: listening to music. Any app you have previously downloaded prior to this new iTunes version will be found in the iTunes' Media folder. if you want to reinstall the apps, Apple recommends you install via the iOS App Store.
Although this beta version of iOS 11 should be almost ideal with most of the bugs detected and ironed out, there's still a chance that Apple will add or eliminate certain things and you'll need to download an update on the release day. Once users update to iTunes 12.7, the only way to download/redownload apps is directly through the App Store on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
While this change may frustrate the minority of users who managed their apps this way, it will likely come as a relief for the many who had become frustrated with iTunes' tendency to download iOS apps in the background, thus taking up internet data usage and system memory. Once the update is available, users will simply have to click the Update button on the right side of the page and the download and installation process will begin. Games and Apps on the new iOS 11 App Store will be more informative with support for more video demos, app ratings/rankings and age rating.
iOS 11 was announced in June at Apple's annual Worldwide Developer Conference with Apple calling iOS 11: 'A giant step for iPhone. What it adds in this update is the ability to sync with devices running iOS 11 and social music sharing for Apple Music subscribers.
